Easy Christmas Snacks

When the snow starts to flurry outside there is nothing I crave more than warm cookies right out of the oven. The winter here in Denver has been a bit on the slow side, so the need to heat up the house with baking hasn’t been as top of mind as in the past.

Now that the weather’s starting to dip – we did have a below zero day last week – and the snow has stayed on the ground for more than a few hours at a time, the holiday baking craving has officially begun.

If your December calendar looks anything like mine, the want for fresh baked goods and the time to actually bake might not be in alignment. Between holiday parties, family gatherings and volunteer commitments it feels like everyday is already jam packed. The last thing I need to add to my plate is a kitchen covered in flour and a dozen bowls to wash.

Easy Christmas Snacks from Hickory Farms

When I want holiday sweets without the mess, the Winter Bake Shop Basket from Hickory Farms is my go to. With four types of cookies, I can pretend I spent the whole day baking when really all I did was open the basket up. Easy Christmas snacks can’t get any better than this.

The chocolate chunk brownie is just begging to be tossed in the microwave for a few seconds just to get the chocolate bits all gooey and warm. Why mess the whole kitchen when you can just use a single plate for fresh out of the oven brownies?

Shortbread is something that I always crave at the holiday season! I know you can get shortbread all year round but its just not the same when there isn’t a christmas tree in the living room. I like to serve them up with a cup of hot cocoa as I sit watching my favorite holiday movies.

I love the flavor of molasses cookies but the thought of storing an entire bottle of molasses typically takes them off my baking list. Luckily the baking team at Hickory Farms takes care of storing the sticky molasses and allows me to enjoy a batch of perfectly cooked cookies without any of the work!

Decorating holiday cookies is half the fun of baking them – but when you are avoiding baking like I am, decorating goes right to the top of the list of things I just don’t have time for. The adorable decorated tree sugar cookies make it look like you spent the entire day in the kitchen and taste as amazing as they look.

After eating my fill of cookies, Snowflake Pretzels are my go-to sweet and savory snack. The sweet frosting compliments the salty pretzel underneath and makes them the ideal easy christmas snacks for an evening at home curled up the the fire.  These are by far my FAVORITE holiday snack and I wish I could eat them all year round.

What are your go to holiday treats when you’re too busy to bake?
