Time Out For Football Party Ideas

With NFL playoffs well underway and college football wrapping up just last night, now is the time to gather your fellow fans and root on the best of the best as they compete for this year’s most coveted titles. I love college football. The fans are more passionate and the players are in it for the love of the game (and the scholarships, chance of going pro etc…), but mostly the love of the game.

My university isn’t known for football, but I love watching the schools that are and trying to predict how the College National Championship Playoff will turn out. Seeing Clemson and Alabama going head to head in Tampa last night was such an exciting game to watch with family and friends. This is a repeat of last years match-up and watching Clemson dethrone the reigning champions in the last few seconds of the game is what college football is all about.

In my mind, the real champion of an amazing football party is the food! No matter who wins I get to celebrate with plate full of delicious snacks. I’ve put together a couple of my favorite football party ideas that I hope will inspire your celebration this week!

Football Party Ideas

Most people snack throughout the game, so serving a big meal is never a good idea. Ultimate Beef Sliders from Pfaelzer Brothers are perfect for dishing up with Jalapeno Cheddar Cheese and Honey Pineapple Mustard from Hickory Farms

Sliders are the ideal size for snacking throughout the game and won’t make you too full to enjoy all of the other game day treats.

Mini Pigs in a Blanket are another crowd favorite and can be tossed together in just a few minutes before kickoff. I make mine with mini hot dogs and a slices of crescent roll a few hours ahead of the game and throw them in the oven as guests start to arrive.

Hot out of the oven and served up with Honey Pineapple Mustard these bite size pigskin snacks are a savory treat that everyone will enjoy.

Leave a note in the comments if you have any football party idea’s you’d like to recommend for this list! I love hearing what everyone else’s favorite ways to celebrate are. If you’d like some more football party ideas and inspiration check out my post from last year’s Super Bowl!
