Three Easy Appetizer Ideas to try this Holiday

When the house is full of hungry family you need easy appetizer solutions to help quell the chaos so you can finish up the rest of the meal. The best appetizers give guests something to snack on without ruining their appetite for dinner.

With less then a week left towards Christmas, planning elaborate appetizers is most likely not on the top of your to-do list. I know it’s not on mine! These easy appetizer ideas will keep the crowd calm and can get on your table in just minutes!

Easy Appetizer Idea 1: Meat & Cheese Tray

I like to save containers from store bought treats so I can reuse them later. This guy came from a Junior League event I helped put together and is PERFECT for pre-setting a meat and cheese tray for my next family gathering.

Reuse containers from store bought meals to help make party clean up a breeze.

Before the rest of the cooking needs to start I sliced up some Signature Beef Summer Sausage and a few of my favorite Hickory Farms Cheeses

With crackers on the side and Sweet Hot Mustard dipping sauce in the middle this appetizer platter can go in the fridge until the guests arrive.

Easy Appetizer Idea 2: Cheese Board

Cheese boards are a crowd pleaser that can go on the table in just minutes. The Reserve Artisanal Salami and Cheese Basket is perfect for plating up right before guests come through the door.

I like to stage the cheese tray with the wrapped cheese while I finish getting the rest of the house ready. As soon as the first guest arrives, remove the packaging and place your favorite cheese knifes near by. With little to no prep cheese boards are the ideal appetizer that everyone will enjoy.

Easy Appetizer Idea 3: Spicy Mustard Deviled Eggs

If you have some prep time, another one of my favorite easy appetizer ideas is a recipe I’ve shared before! Spicy Mustard Deviled Eggs are my go to easy appetizer for any family gathering.

I like to prep the eggs the night before and leave them to cool in the fridge. When I’m ready to assemble the deviled eggs it takes just a few minutes to cut and mix together the filling. This is a dish best plated several minutes before guests arrive.

Will you be hosting dinner or attending Christmas somewhere else this year? What are your go to appetizer solutions for family suppers?
