There is a briskness in the air, the leaves are starting to turn colors and football season has kicked off; it’s hard to believe it’s already fall. Although Colorado isn’t necessarily on the same level as the southern College Football scene, we can hold our own when it comes to firing up the grill on gameday. One of the fun – and overwhelming – challenges of a new home is getting to add personal touches to each room. Luckily for us every room in our home needs to be painted so there will be no shortage of personalization that happens as we work our way throughout the home.
I opted to start small. Our living room has a 2 story vaulted ceiling and I’m not quite ready to take on that massive project so I decided to start in what happens to be both the smallest and most difficult room in the house to paint – the Powder Room.
My family is big on family gatherings. With my mom and aunts living within several blocks of one another, getting the entire family together for a meal is a regular occurrence. With the occasional 13 plus person meal, I’ve learned that cooking for a crowd is no easy feat and I’m impressed that my Mom and Aunts both are able to do so without batting an eye.
